Why do I need to link a card, I've got my bank account linked?

Are you sure that you have enough money on your paypal? Convert the currency to CHF.

I thought paypal converted currency automatically? And I do have enough money in my linked account?
Is there a why I can buy it without having to link a card in paypal?

Go here -> https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/wallet and press "Add money" after that add 20 CHF to your paypal account and try again.
