I thought about that also, but the normal game does not have overwatch and if the cheat is VAC undetected, shouldn't I be safe raging?

I raged in valve DM and casual, and got OW'ed very quick.
I played as safe as I could in comp so I'm sure I didn't get any reports from that. Perhaps with enough reports Overwatchers get handed a demo either way? idk

Hmm, i don't know. You can buy a smurf account and try it if you really want to know.

I rage hacked on an account for a month off and on so not everyday. No ban until I went into comp and started using super seed which is when I got overwatch banned.

Overwatches are usually comp matches, but if the user gets a ton of reports in casual, and little to no reports in comp, the overwatcher will watch the casual match instead, so you don't actually have to play comp a single time before getting overwatched. But the demos can only be pulled from games played on official valve servers.
