Question about VAC bans and 2nd accounts

So, I've been wanting to mess around with some cheats for a while, but I have been told that if you cheat on an account and it gets VAC banned, any other accounts on the same HWID (Hardware ID, basically the same computer) will also get VAC banned. Well I can't get my main account banned as I have a lot of money invested into my inventory and into the game. Anyways, I was wondering if there is anyway to spoof my Hardware ID so that if my cheating account(s) get banned, my main account won't get VAC'd?
PS- would a VPN help at all?

no thats a big lie as long as you dont use family sharing other accounts wont get banned
