Cross-Account Banning

Been out of the cheating scene for years and I've been a legit player for a long while. However, I fancy some fun!

What is the likely hood of cross-account banning? I do not care if I create a smurf and it get's VAC'd but what about that smurf ban leading onto my main account being banned?

What is the general procedure to isolate the accounts? Or do Volvo not ban like that?
